WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP SUITABLE FOR?
We recommend this workshop for managers in a business at any level. If they have staff reporting to them (no matter how many and at what level), they’ll get a lot out of this workshop. Likewise, if you have a good employee in your business that you’re eyeing up for promotion or that you want to keep in your business, this will give them some great frameworks to use now and in the future, helping them to start thinking like a leader and manager so they’re ready for that next step. This workshop is also a great place to start for new managers, giving them the confidence that their business believes in them and is willing to invest in them to help them become better at their job. We also find around 33% of workshop attendees are senior managers ie GMs, SLT members or business owners.
WHAT WILL ATTENDEES GET OUT OF THIS WORKSHOP?
We built this workshop because we realised a lot of business owners wanted to give their managers additional training or skills, but no one was offering anything around leadership and university courses were too time-intensive and advanced. When you send a manager in your team to this course, not only are you investing in them (and, in turn, your business’ performance), you’re also showing them that you appreciate and care about them and want to help them succeed. Your employee will come away with a greater understanding on the difference between leadership and management, learnings to help them improve the way they lead, tools to help them develop personally as well as professionally, insights into how leading businesses use leadership for greater success, how to get the best out of people and more. As a boss, you should see a good lift in practical skills, leadership thinking and confidence from attendees of this workshop. We have lots of business owners do this workshop and they find it super valuable themselves.
WHAT IF I CAN’T ATTEND THE DAY OF THE WORKSHOP?
If you cannot make it to the workshop, we can book you into another scheduled workshop. Please see the cancellation policy.
WHAT IS YOUR WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY?
If, for any reason, you are unable to attend the workshop, there will be cancellation fees as follows:
- More than 28 days prior to the workshop: no charge.
- 14 to 28 days prior to the workshop: a cancellation fee of 20% of the workshop fee will be charged.
- Within 14 days: you will need to pay the full workshop fee.
Note: if you book into the next available workshop, 80% of this cancellation fee will go towards the next workshop you book into.
If we need to cancel, change, or postpone a workshop for any reason we will try to give you as much advance notice as possible. For those attendees who are unable to attend a workshop because of a revised location or date, we will refund 100% of any pre-paid fees or give you an equivalent credit – whichever you prefer. However, we will not be liable for any costs incurred for travel, hotel, or any other consequential damages.
We have limited spots for each of our workshops and they generally sell out and often have a waiting list so if you fail to inform us that you cannot attend a workshop you will be charged for the entire workshop.
WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS?
Full payment is required prior to the workshop. Once you have paid your deposit you will receive an invoice for the remainder of the cost of the workshop.
WILL I HAVE TO HOLD HANDS WITH STRANGERS?
No…
WILL I HAVE TO DO GROUP WORK WITH OTHER BUSINESSES?
The day includes a mix of individual work and group work. We find the group work helpful because everyone has different experiences and insights that result in better learning and understandings. However, you only need to share what you feel comfortable with, you don’t have to share IP, you don’t need to speak in front of everyone – and there’s definitely no team-building experiences!
WILL I HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO NETWORK WITH ANYONE ELSE?
Yes, you will. The session is carefully curated to provide opportunities for you to connect with other attendees. For many of our attendees, it’s an unexpected bonus to have the opportunity to meet other business owners and managers.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF MY WORKSHOP?
In addition to your workshop materials and having Zac’s expertise at your fingertips, we provide coffee, tea, refreshments and a delicious lunch. Please let us know in advanced if you have any specific dietary requirements.
DO I GET COURSE MATERIALS?
We provide everything you need for the workshop, including pens and course materials. We’ve custom-created materials including activities, personal plans, and specific articles that will come in handy as reference points at some point during your leadership career.
HOW ARE THE WORKSHOPS STRUCTURED?
The course is fairly intensive, to make the most of your time and investment. There are scheduled breaks for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, which you can use to eat, stretch, walk, talk or make phone calls. There will be other people attending the workshop with you but you will not be expected to share your IP — however, you are welcome to comment and ask questions at any time. Zac maintains a good pace so you will not run out of things to work on, plus the activities will keep you engaged and focused.
WILL THERE BE TIME TO SPEND ONE-ON-ONE TIME WITH ZAC WHEN I AM AT THE WORKSHOP?
The workshop is not a one-on-one mentoring session with Zac – there will be approximately 30 other attendees at the workshop — but he is on-hand to answer questions or further facilitate thinking.
