So many good things happening in the first quarter of this year for our clients! Big congrats to you all!
- Tiger Burger was rated as The Best Burger in Auckland by Concrete Playground – I eat too many but you gotta try one!
- Butlers Chocolate Cafes won gold in the Irish Food Awards with their salted hazelnut caramel chocolate – yum!
- Buildtech announced that, in conjunction with Habitat For Humanity, they will be building a house in Nepal and Fiji for every home they build in NZ!! How’s that for making a difference?!
- Three fashion clients opened new stores recently: Juliette Hogan in Wellington CBD, Kowtow in Te Aro, Wellington and Tosca and Salome in Newmarket.
- Kowtow was also recognised for having an A grade in Tearfund’s 2018 Ethical Fashion Report, tracking the efforts of fashion companies to ensure the rights of the workers: safe work place, living wage and freedom from slavery. And the only reason they don’t have an A+ grade is because they don’t share their suppliers, due to commercial sensitivity.
- Ceillhe from TIME Unlimited won the Auckland category at the National Maori Business Awards – amazing!
- Happy to see Tony Small from smartass and Innocent Packaging in Idealog recently – see his elevator pitch here: https://elevator-pitch.idealog.co.nz/
- Well done to Steve Rickerby of We Compost who spoke in Las Vegas at Waste Expo – the leading conference in the world on waste!
- Nic Turner from Mainstream Green is a finalist in the NEXT magazine Her Own Boss Awards – go vote! Nic was also a star on Seven Sharp recently – her family are so good at recycling and being environmentally friendly that they only put one rubbish bin out for collection every 6 months (yeah true story!).
- Congrats to the Vercoe Insurance Brokers team – Aleisha Semmens was recognised in the Insurance Business NZ 2018 Young Guns report. Great work, Linda Kane and Adrienne Madden for nurturing young achievers in your business.
- It was cool to be at the Westpac Business Awards Best of the Best recently with clients Career Academy, Heart Saver, Link2 Group, and Establish all finalists in the Excellence in Strategy & Planning category.
- Glenn Jones from Glenn Jones Art was nicknamed “The King of Kiwiana” in an awesome profile story on Seven Sharp with wife and business partner, Julia. So good!
- Speaking of Seven Sharp (again), congrats to Lance Jimmieson of Jacksons Engineering who appeared on the prime-time show to talk about his work on the incredible underwater bedroom in the Maldives – his third such project!
- Sanjesh Lal from Keola has completed a massive – and game-changing – build with Kristin School. Pre schools have certainly changed!
- Ange Redfern of Ripe Deli celebrated 15 years in business with a great cover story in Viva!
- Was cool to see Mark Fisher from Eighty4 Recruitment on the cover of Channel magazine!
- Congrats to The Engine Room for placing runner up in Metro magazine’s Best Suburban Restaurant.
- Brendan Foot Supersite – well done on again being one of the main sponsors of Wellington Round The Bays and the Brendan Foot Supersite Kids Cross Country Series. Great to see you supporting your local community.
- Lizzi Whaley from Spaceworks, Rodelle Payne from Sisters & Co and Meg McMillan from Tea Pea made The Register’s Hotlist! Lizzi for Most Influential in Retail, Rodelle for Best Provincial Retailer and Meg for Bricks and Mortar Hottest In-Store Experience – good luck, ladies!
