Does your business have a social media account or perhaps even a few of them? You might be on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (not Tinder – if you’re on Tinder, I’d have to question what your business was about!) – all of them come with their pros: engagement with customers, transparency, the ability to reach out and connect frequently with your clients and fans.
There are also a few cons, if you’re not careful.
One of them is posting when you’re furious – saying what you really think, venting in a public place, and offending many of your customers along the way. Reputation damaging? For sure.
Did you read about the owner of Ekim Burgers and his Facebook rage? It garnered a lot of media attention – and not the sort you’d want for your business.
One of our cool Business Changing clients, Wendy Thompson of Socialites, gave her expert opinion on the situation. Read that here: http://idealog.co.nz/workplace/2015/05/burger-bungling-lessons-ekim
