Karen Francis is all about leaving the planet a better place – so much so that she’s set up a distribution business dedicated solely to fashion brands that are eco-friendly and sustainable. What’s more, she’ll only work with brands that walk the walk and who give back to society and the environment in some form. So far Eco Distribution represents watches made of wood, sunglasses made from wood, cotton-based acetate or skateboards and vegan bags. (They don’t eat meat. Kidding! They’re not made from any sort of animal products.)
These past two months, Karen has been working with Business Changing’s Debbie Harrison to run a PR campaign, sharing the word about these eco-friendly brands. And they’ve had a stellar few months of coverage, with We-Wood, Proof eyewear and Matt & Nat bags appearing in Viva, Canvas, Fashion Quarterly, Idealog, Waikato Times, Dominion Post, Christchurch Press, Happyzine and TV2’s The 4.30 Show. But wait – there’s more to come.
Good work, Karen – keep on sharing that eco-friendly vision!
