PTminder is for personal trainers and boutique fitness studios looking for a software system to help them manage their business more efficiently. When we met Zac, PTminder was in its early stages, with just the two of us servicing a small number of clients.
Since Zac coming on board as our business coach, PTminder as a SAAS company has come a long way: today in 2020 we have a team of 22 and a large global client base of 3,000+ which is rapidly growing month on month. Last year, our BHAG came true when we were acquired by a global private equity firm — Zac was a huge part of this.
We initially sought a business coach to help guide our decision making. We needed
someone in our corner who wasn’t emotionally attached to the business to bounce ideas off, use as a sounding board and hold us accountable to the business plan. Zac has definitely ticked all these boxes. We’d meet on a monthly basis to review the performance of the business, set out our short, medium and long term targets and goals and ensure we were happy with our go-forward strategy.
We’ve learnt a lot from Zac in the 6 years we’ve been working with him, but two standout lessons he’s taught us are how to make more accurate data-driven decisions and how to work on our business as opposed to in the business. We’re also extremely grateful for the structure he’s given PTminder — it’s enabled us to take a step back from the day-to-day workings of the business and give us the time to focus on the true direction of the company.
Our advice is: it’s never too early to take on a business coach. We had literally only just started PTminder when we started working with Zac — and we think having him really accelerated our growth greatly. Zac will hold you accountable, he’ll be a great sounding board, he’ll create structure in your business and he’ll be there to guide you through those tough decisions.
