Hello world… I can report that the start up phase of “Business Changing” business is moving… along… I am lucky to be working with some very interesting clients.
What is striking me as interesting is there really is some similarity between most of my clients… Successful business, great potential… But I am glad to report that I am able to help them, so that is very exciting… There are some facets in their business that they are asking for help, encouragement, new ideas, you name it, on and to date we are coming up with some really good stuff together. I look forward to looking at the progress made in 12 months plus time. What I am seeing is that business owners often just need another perspective and then collectively we can come up with some really cool directions that they get very excited about (so do I!).
The really interesting thing about “business changing” advice is that it is up to the business I am working with to take what we agree might be a good idea, and to run with it. Inaction on advice means we will have little chance of changing the world from their business’ perspective. The great thing is that the businesses I am working with to date are implementing what we thought would be good ideas, and the feedback (early days!) is very encouraging.
I am enjoying doing some guest speaking also. For companies, Chamber of Commerce, and a University – all fun. Every time you present you find new ways to communicate.
I am doing my first round of webinars also… On November 11, I am doing a webinar (seminar online) on “how to create the best workplace” for NZICA (NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants, so watch out all you accountant managers and CA firms for some positive impact on your workplace!)…
My second webinar is one I am putting on myself, in conjunction with the New Zealand Retailers Association (you know, John Albertson and his team who do a great job for the NZ Retail Industry). It is called “Retail KPIs, to maximise your sales and profit” and will cover :
